G-Forge

G-Forge is a 3D studio for game and product assets, at /g-forge. It generates meshes from a prompt, rigs them, applies motions, and gates the result on a quality check before you use it.

G-Forge - M.A.V.E.N

Produce usable 3D assets end to end: generate a mesh from a text prompt, rig it and apply motions (680 built-in), then inspect quality through the mesh QA gate - watertight / scale / poly-count checks via trimesh - before dropping finished 3D straight into P-Forge slides.

  • Mesh generation - generate meshes from a prompt.
  • Rigging and motion - rig generated meshes and apply any of 680 built-in motions.
  • Mesh QA gate - watertight, scale and poly-count checks via trimesh. Without trimesh the gate cannot inspect meshes, but generation still runs.
  • Engine profiles - three target runtimes: Godot, Unity and Unreal. Godot and Unity export GLB in metres at scale 0.01; Unreal exports FBX in centimetres at scale 1. Supported export formats overall: glb, obj, fbx, stl, usdz, 3mf.
  • In-app preview - the 3D preview is @google/model-viewer (bundled).

Image and 3D generation route exclusively through Meshy (MESHY_API_KEY); fal and kie keys are deliberately not exposed to G-Forge. The 2D concept engines it offers (all via Meshy) are Nano Banana (default), Nano Banana 2, Nano Banana Pro and GPT Image 2.

  • 3D engines - provisioned by scripts/setup-3d-engines.sh; a g-forge service unit (scripts/setup-gforge-service.sh) keeps them warm. Provisioned by default.
  • trimesh - the QA gate; joined to the shared coursegen venv, provisioned by default via scripts/setup-free-engines.sh (~/.maven/coursegen/venv).
  • @google/model-viewer - the in-app 3D preview, bundled.
  • MESHY_API_KEY - the backend for all image and 3D generation (G-Forge routes only through Meshy).

Generated 3D assets are written to the vault under <vault>/G-Forge/<project>/assets/<task>/<name>.<ext>, with a library.json per project. (Meshy download scratch lives separately under ~/.maven/gforge.) Finished 3D can also be dropped straight into P-Forge slides.

  • The QA gate is advisory: generation still runs without trimesh, but you lose the watertight / scale / poly checks - install it to catch bad meshes before they reach a slide.
  • If fal and kie image providers run dry, set MESHY_API_KEY to keep generating on a yearly plan.
