SocialHub
SocialHub is M.A.V.E.N’s own social publishing app, at /socialhub. It is not Postiz: it is built into M.A.V.E.N and follows the app’s language and theme. It has a fullscreen button.
What it does
Section titled “What it does”Sections: Calendar, Compose, Channels, Analytics, Templates & drafts, Bulk CSV, Automations, Team, Agents & API, and Settings.
Media can be uploaded, or referenced from the Obsidian vault only.
Connecting channels
Section titled “Connecting channels”Telegram (live now)
- In @BotFather, create a new bot. Do not reuse a bot that a Hermes gateway already uses: two consumers of
getUpdatesfail with a 409 error. - Paste the token in Channels → Telegram.
- Click “Open Telegram and pick a channel” (Telegram adds the bot as admin), or “Or pick a group”. You can also send
/connectin a group the bot is already in.
Mastodon (live now)
- Channels → Mastodon → enter your server (for example
mastodon.social). - Click “Open Mastodon and authorize”, then click Authorize on your server.
M.A.V.E.N registers its own app on that server, so you need no developer keys or passwords. “Preferences” on a connected card reopens the connect dialog to re-authorise.
Mastodon limits: 500 characters per post (longer text becomes a thread), up to 4 pictures or 1 video, and alt text through the picture description.
Other platforms. LinkedIn, X, Bluesky, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube connect through the MAVEN Connect broker (connect.ownyourmodels.xyz) - that is the next phase. TikTok is intentionally not supported.
Test channel
Section titled “Test channel”Until a platform is connected, posts meant for it go to the test channel instead: a connected Telegram channel or group that you set in Settings. Such posts are marked “[Test · Platform]”.
Approval, autonomy and limits
Section titled “Approval, autonomy and limits”- Posts written by agents wait for a person’s approval in a queue.
- Exception: platforms marked autonomous in Settings. An agent post that goes only to autonomous platforms publishes without approval.
- There is a daily limit for agent posts per account (default 20).
- A failed post is retried 3 times, 10 minutes apart, and never posts twice where it already went out.
- Stop all publishing halts everything, people and agents alike.
Secrets (the bot token and Mastodon tokens) are stored encrypted in ~/.maven/socialhub/secrets.json with mode 600.
How agents publish
Section titled “How agents publish”Agents publish through one door. Default channels for agent posts are LinkedIn and X.
- Content factory - the social step of a run. See Content factory & Brands.
- Kanban - the “Publish to SocialHub” button on a task in Done. The task result text, plus any vault picture or video paths it names, become the post.
- Maven Swarm - the
socialhub_publishtool (arguments: text, media paths, channelslinkedin/x/telegram, date, time, first_comment). - Hermes Swarm - the node action “Publish - queue the result as a post in SocialHub”. The previous step’s output becomes the post.
- Chat copilot - a tool available in chat.
